Jason Kittelberger introduced Didy to Natalia Osipova in Oct 2019, they invited her to create a new work for 5 dancers. After several discussions the idea of Carmen took root and Didy set out to write a scenario for a small cast. Producer Alexandrina Markvo, from Bird&Carrot supported the production and was excited about this idea and together with composer Dave Price and set&costume designer Nina Kobiashvili, the team set out to create a new Carmen. Carmen has been performed in Edinburgh, London, Athens and Tel Aviv to great critical acclaim.
